Kingussie get kinder draw in semi-finals of W M Donald MacTavish Cup
Kingussie have been given what on paper is the easiest semi-final cup draw in the W M Donald MacTavish Cup.
The holders - who are looking to lift the trophy for a fourth consecutive year - have been given a home tie to National Division Lochaber.
In the other semi, Camanachd Cup runners-up Lovat host a rejuvenated Fort William who are impressing on their return to the top flight.
The west coast side is looking to make it back-to-back MacTavish Cup finals.
The ties will be played on May 17 with the final set for June 14 at the newly refurbished Bught Park in Inverness.

The draw which was conducted at Abertarff House in Inverness.
Ruari Davidson, Camanachd Association CEO, commented: “It looks like a really exciting draw with Lochaber who are waving the National Division flag in the semi-finals travelling to the holders.
“There is of course the potential for a repeat of last year’s final with Fort William again in the semis although Lovat will have a thing or two to say about that!
“Best of luck to all the teams in the next round.”
Civil engineering firm W M Donald is sponsoring the MacTavish Cup for the first time in 2025.
Senior contracts manager Kris Brown said: “W M Donald is a family run business and we have been operating in Inverness for quite some time now.
“What is clear is the passion that people in the Highlands have for shinty so it’s really good for us to be able to give back to the communities we work in across this region and beyond.”
Tickets for the final are available at a discounted rate at www.shinty.com/tickets.
