The Cairngorm Gin Company has opened the doors to its new distillery shop and tasting room in Aviemore.
The producer run by Carrbridge businessman Jack Smith announced the new addition in February at the same time as exciting plans for a bar and restaurant at the north end of the village.

The new store and tasting rooms are in premises on the recently opened Granish Business Park on the outskirts of the village and just off the B9152 at the turn-off for the Aviemore Kartway.
The micro-distillery offers locals and visitors an opportunity to experience the craft of Scottish gin-making up close.
There is a dedicated shop and tasting room where customers can sample the full range of Cairngorm Gin, learn about the production process, and book guided distillery tours and tasting sessions.
Mr Smith said: “We’re so proud to now welcome people into our space to share our story, our passion and, of course, our gin.
“Being based here in Aviemore, surrounded by the landscape that inspires us, is a dream.”
Established in 2019, Cairngorm Gin is one of Scotland’s youngest micro-distilleries.
The firm produces award-winning, small-batch gin using the finest botanicals and pure water from the River Spey.
Every drop is carefully distilled, bottled, and labelled by hand on-site.
The artisan drinks company is creating more than 20 new jobs with the new visitor experience and bar and restaurant.
The site for the latter is a short distance away from the business park and is part of a wider development at Lairig View which is currently taking shape along with a small number of houses.
The Cairngorm Gin shop and tasting room are open Wednesday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm, with tours and tastings available to book in advance.
