Good uptake for return of indoor exercise in Badenoch and Strathspey
Highland High Life is pleased with attendance numbers following the return of indoor exercise classes after the Covid restrictions on them were recently lifted.
Members and pay-as-you-go users have been able to resume classes at HLH's three sports centres in the strath since May 17.
Returning numbers having been encouraging for the instructor-led classes which including metafit, barbell club, fit plus, core circuits and spinning and cover all age ranges and abilities.
There are some spaces for classes at Aviemore Community Centre while uptake at the Craig MacLean Sports Centre in Grantown and at Kingussie's Badenoch Centre have been very good
Fraser Tulloch, Grantown-based leisure manager for High Life Highland, said: “We are delighted with the response from customers so far to the return of our indoor fitness classes.
"The Craig Maclean Sports Centre and Badenoch Centre have seen the best response with some classes having waiting lists and the rest are around 80 per cent capacity.
"The classes in Aviemore still have spaces but the gym and functional areas are very busy.
"We are looking forward to seeing more customers coming back as word spreads."
