Six-second strike for Brechin is one of fastest ever in Highland League
Brechin City scored one of the Highland League's fastest-ever goals after just six seconds at Lossiemouth on Saturday as they kept their title challenge firmly on course.
Marc Scott got the early strike at Grant Park with a 20-yard drive and Brechin went on to win 3-0.
Scott added a second shortly before half-time, with Lossie defender Lewis McAndrew being dismissed for dissent as he walked off at the interval. A first Brechin goal for Dominik Naglik in stoppage time sealed City's victory.
They still trail leaders Buckie Thistle by two points with two games in hand.
Buckie were 2-0 winners at home to Inverurie Locos, with Josh Peters and Andy MacAskill getting the goals.
Strathspey Thistle's long trip to Wick was called off on Friday night after a combination of snow and frost made Harmsworth Park unplayable.
It was one of five Highland League postponements.
Elsewhere, Huntly came from behind to score three times in the closing quarter of an hour to beat Deveronvale 3-1 at Princess Royal Park.
Dane Ballard gave Vale a half-time lead but the visitors hit back through Robbie Foster (2) and Callum Murray.
Champions Fraserburgh were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Nairn County.
Ryan Sargent gave Broch an early lead before veteran Ross Tokely netted with a spot-kick to restore parity.
Bryan Hay then missed a penalty for Fraserburgh and Nairn went in front through Scott Davidson's goal with 20 minutes left.
Willie West rescued a draw for the Buchan side with five minutes remaining.
