WATCH: Nominate your Highland Heroes school of the year
Highland Heroes recognises and celebrates the very special role that schools have in our communities with the school of the year award.
NOMINATE your Highland Heroes 2025 by midnight on Sunday, December 15.
The Heroes school of the year will be a school where the teacher and teams within, raise the standards of education and make a positive impact on the personal and academic success of its students and the wider community.
Ross-shire Engineering (RSE) is sponsoring the award for school of the year 2025.
RSE chief executive officer, Stephen Slessor, said: “RSE is proud to support Highland Heroes 2025 as the sponsor of the school of the year award. We believe in the importance of recognising the heroes within our local communities and celebrating the excellent work that they do, and so we are delighted to show our support for this event.
“By continuing our sponsorship of this award category over the past couple of years, we are delighted to highlight the fantastic contributions of Highland schools which play a vital role in the education and development of young people in the area. At RSE, we recognise the value in investing in talent from an early age and hope to inspire the next generation of young people into launching their career within the water industry.
“Nominations for the various Highland Heroes award categories, including school of the year, are now open! We encourage everyone to nominate a local school that works hard to ensure their students receive the best possible education and support, and truly deserves the recognition of this award.”
Highland Heroes 2025 is a fantastic way to give thanks and to celebrate the unsung heroes in your community.

• Primary pupil

• Secondary teacher
Once all of the nominations have been submitted, our judges will whittle down the entries to create a shortlist and you will be invited to vote for your winners.
All of the finalists, sponsors and guests will be invited to the awards ceremony at the Macdonald Drumossie Hotel on Friday, March 14, 2025 where the winners will be revealed!
In addition to the main categories, there is also a very special award presented on the night.
A hero of heroes will be chosen by the judges from among all of your winners.
