New owners of well-known Newtonmore hotel are revealed
The owners of The Crossing in Kingussie have announced the purchase of their second property, The Braeriach in Newtonmore.
Joining forces with local joiner Tony Robinson, the Lunchbox Boys told the Strathy they planned to follow a similar model to The Crossing, their transformation of the former Silverfjord Hotel.
They plan to host pop-up and themed nights and a self check-in bed and breakfast at the Braeriach while introducing a mountain theme at “this stunning building”.
The successful caterers and hoteliers Sam Cairns and Dougal Cameron have already won a reputation for doing nothing by halves and the building, strategically sited on Newtonmore’s Main Street, has been stripped back virtually to its lath and plaster.
“A massive renovation will now take place,” confirmed Mr Cairns.
The latest acquisition adds yet another chapter to their rapid growth and success over the last six years.
“We’re very excited to have completed the purchase of the Braeriach, just five minutes from The Crossing.
“Following a similar model to The Crossing, we have stripped the building back to basics and a massive renovation will now follow, introducing a mountain theme to this historic building
