Kincraig plunges into 2022!





There was a very healthy turnout for today's new year splash into Loch Insh.

And it has to be said that 2021 departed warmer than it started, with the dippers all able to enter the water without ice picks!

The event has seen blizzards in its day, but today it was positively balmy for the dozens of brave souls who ventured into the wintry waters up to their shoulders.

While enjoying a lot of fresh, healthy fun the swimmers also contributed to a local cause, much to the delight of the Loch Insh Outdoor Centre who had chosen to back the village's Forces Manor project.

The former Ossian Hotel is being turned into a unique rest and recuperation base for the armed forces.
