The run was pre-empted last night with a well-attended ceilidh, sponsored by Wildland Ltd. with entry fees going to support Blood Cancer UK.

The event, held in the Duke of Gordon Hotel, seemed to leave nobody worse for wear when it came to today's tough challenge.

The family-friendly fun event took the participants 26 miles along a stunning marked and marshalled route which was tougher than previous road routes by the inclusion of an off-road ride to Gaick Lodge.
