ALL household waste recycling centres in the Highlands have closed to the public with immediate effect – following the announcement of the nationwide coronavirus lockdown.
Highland Council confirmed the closures in a quick Tweet to the public on Tuesday morning.
Kerb-side recycling and waste services continue, although the brown garden waste bin collections were suspended yesterday.
"Recycling centres – due to the government imposed lockdown all Household Waste Recycling Centres are now closed to the public," a Highland Council spokesman confirmed.
