Police Scotland at scene of crash on A9 south of Inverness, near Tomatin, with lengthy tailbacks reported

A crash has partially blocked the A9 north of Tomatin.

It is not known whether there were any casualties in the collision reported around 4.30pm today near Invereen, but the road was at no time closed completely.

Drivers have been advised to exercise caution on approach.

Traffic control measures are in place and vehicles are moving freely, but slowly with tailbacks evident from Invereen in north and south towards the Slochd.

Police Scotland has been contacted for more details.
