Community watchdog in Strathspey set to make its return





Carrbridge will formally welcome the return of its community council later this week.

The first meeting of the re-formed watchdog group will be held in the village hall on Thursday at 7pm.

The meeting will be a public one with everybody welcome.

After a general welcome and the chairman’s remarks from Stewart Mcneish, the members will lay out their method of operation and offer a treasurer’s report.

Latest planning applications in the area will be noted and the following business is lined up for discussion:

Car parking, dog fouling, the reinstatement of roads and pavements after the broadband installations.

Also on the agenda are:

• Road signage to the village, speed monitor at Hilditch Terrace, white lines on road to Kinveachy Junction.

• Support for the NMU application for the Aviemore link; water flow on the route to the A9.

• Speed limit on the Dulnain road; and

• Lochanhully path.
