Ton up for Alice at today's Aviemore Parkrun
The highlight of Aviemore parkrun today was celebration of Alice Bailey’s 100th parkrun completion.
Alice has been a regular at Aviemore for several years and volunteers regularly as well as running.
Race director Hilary Quick told the Strathy: "We also welcomed 28 visitors to Aviemore for the first time, and one person was doing her first parkrun ever."
A total of 65 people took part today.
"And as ever many commented that Aviemore is the best parkrun ever!"
It was the 223rd event at Aviemore, and 28 were first-timers to the popular circuit.
Some eight new personal bests were recorded this morning, with 16 different clubs represented.
The event was made possible by nine volunteers: Eleanor McNicol, Katie Hanson, Alethea McHardy, Hilary Quick, Bill Dewitt, Dawn Cranston, Sue Oxley, Vickie Rampton and Jonathan Brodie.
