Ton up for Alice at today's Aviemore Parkrun





The highlight of Aviemore parkrun today was celebration of Alice Bailey’s 100th parkrun completion.

Alice has been a regular at Aviemore for several years and volunteers regularly as well as running.

Race director Hilary Quick told the Strathy: "We also welcomed 28 visitors to Aviemore for the first time, and one person was doing her first parkrun ever."

A total of 65 people took part today.

"And as ever many commented that Aviemore is the best parkrun ever!"

It was the 223rd event at Aviemore, and 28 were first-timers to the popular circuit.

Some eight new personal bests were recorded this morning, with 16 different clubs represented.

The event was made possible by nine volunteers: Eleanor McNicol, Katie Hanson, Alethea McHardy, Hilary Quick, Bill Dewitt, Dawn Cranston, Sue Oxley, Vickie Rampton and Jonathan Brodie.
