Aviemore's 'Cairn' hotel getting back to normal

The popular Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore is getting nearer and nearer on its way back to normality following the Covid-19 restrictions which at one point saw the business close briefly for deep cleaning.

Now the booking system which came in to deal with coronavirus conditions is being dropped.

The management have posted: "As from Monday (tomorrow) we will no longer take bookings for our restaurant.

"We will revert to our trusty old 'first come, first served' system.

"Better dust down the pagers!"

The hotel has a highly effective system of handing out buzzers to customers waiting in the bar or reception for a table to become clear and now the gadgets will be brought out of storage once more.

But the post also confirms: "Although things are easing slightly, masks are still required to be worn when moving around the hotel and checking in for track and trace continues to be a legal requirement."

Live entertainment is to resume next Saturday, with "our very own" Davy Holt also returning to the bar.

Today's post promises: "As always the safety of our team and customers is our priority."
