Highlands Tennis League is under way for new season

The 2024 Highlands Tennis League season has got under way this past week.

The competition will run for the next 10 weeks and Badenoch and Strathspey is well represented locally by Grantown, Rothiemurchus and Aviemore (R&A) and Kingussie.

An extra division has been added for the 2024 season to the women's competition.

The first week’s scores are as follows:

Women - Division 1: Elgin B 2 Kingussie A 4; R&A A 8 Nairn A 0. Division 2: Grantown A 8 R&A B 0. Division 3: Bellfield Park B 3 Grantown B 3. Division 4: R&A C 8 Rothes B 0.

Men - Division 1: Grantown A 2 Elgin A 6. Division 2: Inverness B 4 Kingussie 4.

Mixed - Division 1: Grantown A 7 Rothes A 3; R&A A 6 Nairn A 2. Division 2: Elgin B 7 R&A B 2.
