The Rotary Club of Spey Valley has launch its classic, sports and E car tour and announced it has received a new sponsor in the form of Arnold Clark BMW Inverness.

The tour takes place on September 8 starting and finishing in Aviemore and is open to all vintage, historic, classic cars, modern sports cars, EVs and hybrid cars.

Entries are limited to 60 cars.

The charity car tour aims to raise much needed funds for vital international charities including Macmillan Cancer Support and Aquabox as well as some Rotary nominated charities and local causes.

The fully planned route will give patrons the chance to enjoy the best their cars have to offer while visiting top Scottish vistas and locations.

All funds raised for the tour will be donated directly to the nominated charities.

Alan Cairns, the lead organiser with Rotary Club of Spey Valley said: ‘The charity car tour will be an enjoyable day out for motoring enthusiasts.

“The route will be on some of the most scenic roads in Scotland through the Cairngorm National Park, Deeside and Speyside.

“We hope entrants will not only enjoy a great day out but also dig deep to support our three nominated charities.

“Events like this cannot happen without the support of volunteers and the sponsorship and backing from the team at Arnold Clark BMW.’

He added: “With their added support, the nominated charities will be able to continue their life-saving work such as supporting those and their families going through the struggles of cancer, or by providing safe, clean drinking water for crisis zones across the world and supporting local good causes.”

Andrew King, Head of Business at Arnold Clark Inverness BMW, said: ‘We are thrilled to sponsor such a fantastic event and help the Rotary Club to make a difference to those most in need.

“It is wonderful to be able to support these amazing charities while also giving fellow car enthusiasts the opportunity to see the best that Scotland has to offer.”
