Man charged after 39-year-old’s death following Paisley incident

A man has been charged after a 39-year-old died following an incident in Paisley.

Police were called to a report of a man allegedly assaulted in the town’s Greenock Road at around 2.35am on Thursday.

The 39-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he died a short time later.

Police said that a 40-year-old man arrested in connection with the death has now been charged.

He is expected to appear in court in due course.
