Kingussie claimed the WM Donald MacTavish Cup for the fourth successive season after beating Lovat 2-0 in the final at Inverness’ newly refurbished Bught Park.

There were first half chances at both ends, but the Kings never looked like abdicating their crown after the restart, going close on several occasions before Savio Genini broke the deadlock with a shot across the keeper.

Roddy Young added a second in stoppage time.

Captain Thomas Borthwick said: “We were against a strong wind in the first half, but we dominated towards the end and the lads were fantastic.”
